1. Who We Are

Freedom AI is a product operated by Freedom FZC, a company registered in the United Arab Emirates. We provide e-commerce analytics, profit intelligence, and integration services through our Shopify application.

2. Data We Collect

When you install our Shopify app, we access and store the following data from your Shopify store:

• Order data: Order numbers, line items, shipping addresses, financial status, fulfilment status
• Product data: Product names, SKUs, variants, pricing, inventory levels
• Customer data: Customer names and shipping addresses (only as part of order analytics)
• Store data: Store name, domain, currency, timezone

We do not collect or store customer payment information (credit card numbers, bank details). All payment processing is handled by Shopify and Stripe.

3. How We Use Your Data

• Generating analytics, profit reports, and business intelligence
• Ad attribution and performance analysis
• AI-powered insights and recommendations
• Customer support and issue resolution
• Improving our services and features

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share data only with:

• Payment processors: Stripe, for billing purposes
• Infrastructure providers: Cloud hosting (AWS) for data storage and processing

All partners are bound by data processing agreements and handle data in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your Shopify app is installed and active. Upon uninstallation:

• Active session data is deleted immediately
• Order and billing data is retained for 12 months for accounting and dispute resolution purposes
• You may request earlier deletion by contacting us

6. Data Security

We protect your data using:

• TLS/SSL encryption for all data in transit
• Encrypted storage for sensitive credentials
• HMAC verification on all Shopify webhooks
• Role-based access controls
• Regular security audits

7. Your Rights (GDPR and Global)

You have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data
• Erasure: Request deletion of your data
• Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format
• Objection: Object to processing of your data
• Restriction: Request we limit processing of your data

8. Shopify Data Compliance

Our app complies with Shopify's API Terms of Service and data protection requirements. We handle mandatory GDPR webhooks for:

• Customer data requests
• Customer data erasure (redaction)
• Shop data erasure (redaction)

9. Protected Customer Data

Under Shopify’s Protected Customer Data Requirements, we treat the following data classes with elevated protection:

• Customer name (level 1): Used solely to display order detail in profit reports. Never used for marketing, never shared with third parties for marketing, never sold.
• Customer shipping address (level 1): Used solely for per-order analytics (e.g. delivery region performance). Never used for marketing.
• Order data (level 1): Used to calculate revenue, profit, and product analytics.

Data minimisation: We only request the minimum scopes required (read_orders, read_products, read_inventory, read_customers, read_fulfillments). We do not write to your store. We do not request read_all_orders beyond the default 60-day window.

Retention & deletion: Customer-level data is retained for 13 months for trailing-twelve-month analytics, then aggregated and the raw rows are deleted. Upon app uninstall the data lifecycle is governed by Shopify’s shop/redact webhook (received ~48h after uninstall) which triggers full deletion of all shop data within 30 days. customers/redact is honoured within 30 days as required.

Consent: By installing the app, the merchant grants us access. Their store’s end customers consent via the merchant’s own privacy policy / checkout disclosures.

10. Cookies

Our application uses essential session cookies for authentication. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics on the app itself.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance.
